Why use Alternate Mix?

Merge two PDFs by alternating their pages — one from the first, one from the second. Made for single-sided scanners: scan the fronts, scan the backs, and mix them into one correctly ordered document (with an option to reverse the second file for stacks scanned back-to-front).

FAQs

What if the two files have different page counts?

The tool alternates for as long as both files have pages, then appends whatever remains of the longer file, so no page is lost.
